NEB: Trans Mountain Pipeline can ignore Burnaby bylaws

Canada’s National Energy Board has ruled the stalled Trans Mountain Pipeline in western Canada need not comply with two sections of the city of Burnaby’s bylaws, in a small win for Kinder Morgan Canada, Kallanish Energy reports. The order was issued by the NEB on Thursday and allows initial pipeline construction to begin.


TransAlta, Tidewater Midstream sign LOI to build gas line

TransAlta and Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure Ltd. said Wednesday they’ve signed a letter of intent (LOI) for Tidewater to build a 120-kilometer (75-mile) natural gas pipeline from its Brazeau River Complex in Alberta Province, to TransAlta's power plants at Sundance and Keephills.
