The ethane cracker plant planned by Royal Dutch Shell is likely not the only cracker built in the Appalachian Basin. It is likely that a half dozen will be built in western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and northern West Virginia, said Tom Gellrich, of TopLine Analytics based in Philadelphia.
